Danish defender showed off his ink-redible array of tattoos after England got under his skin in Copenhagen on Wednesday.The star’s arms and torso are covered in various designs and drawings. He loves them so much he has even qualified as a tattooist and offers his services free to team-mates.Agger’s back is covered with a tattoo of a scene depicting a Viking graveyard.In the middle is a detailed image of a sculpture of Danish mythological character Holger Danske – Holger the Dane. It is said he will wake from his sleep if Denmark is ever in danger, although he did not open his eyes after Darren Bent and Ashley Young scored for England!
Four famous Danish kings’ gravestones are depicted – King Canute and Sven Forkbeard, both also rulers of England, Harold Bluetooth and Gorm den Gamle.
Near Agger’s waist are the heads of three Vikings. The central defender, 26, also has a Latin proverb – ‘Mors Certa, Hora Incerta’ – scrawled across the top of his back. It means: ‘Death is certain, its hour is not’.
On his right upper arm he has a Viking with the words ‘Memento mori’, which means ‘remember you will die’. And there are inscriptions on his ankles which translate as ‘Pain is temporary, victory is forever’.
